They will be brought under the legal process soon,” Bhattarai added.
The Supreme Court had lodged a complaint at the police range demanding an investigation and action against those responsible for the arson.
According to the police, 104 complaints related to arson, vandalism, and criminal disturbances during the Gen Z protests have been filed with the Kathmandu police.
Police records show that 49 people were killed in Kathmandu alone during the protests. Seven of the deceased have yet to be identified.
“Seven skeletons were found at the Bhat-Bhateni store in Chuchchepati. Since the bodies were completely burned, we could not obtain DNA samples. We are considering sending them elsewhere for identification, but until they are conclusively identified, we cannot confirm anything,” Bhattarai said.
