KATHMANDU: Minister for Finance Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat Friday said he was not aware of the cabinet decision to provide Rs 200,000 each to disqualified Maoist combatants.
Talking to a delegation of the National Youth Association at his office, Dr Mahat said he had no idea about the working procedure for distribution of the money to disqualified combatants said to have been approved by the recent cabinet meeting.
“I want to make you clear that no such decision has been taken since I assumed the office at the finance ministry,” Dr Mahat told the delegation.
