KATHMANDU: The 15th edition of the Enfield Rendezvous & Poker Run, one of the country’s most iconic motorcycling events, will be held on April 13-14.
Organised by Sacred Summits Pvt Ltd and supported by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), the event, which began in 2009 with just 22 riders, is expected to draw over 300 riders.
According to the organizers, riders from across the country, including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Biratnagar, Dharan, Birganj, Chitwan, Lumbini, Nepalgunj, Surkhet and Janakpur, as well as from India, Australia and Germany, are participating in the event.
“This is more than just a ride—it’s a celebration of community, culture, and the spirit of exploration,” Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of the NTB said. “The Enfield Rendezvous & Poker Run not only promotes adventure tourism but also showcases Nepal’s scenic beauty, vibrant hospitality and growing appeal as a premier motorcycling destination.”
Highlights of the event include a variety of contests such as Best Enfield (Original Design), Best Customized Enfield, Best Supporting Woman Rider, Longest Distance Rider, Senior Citizen’s Award, and the Hard Luck Award—given to the rider with the most mechanical breakdowns.
A special feature of this year’s ride is the Charity Ride on April 13, which will support over 25 underprivileged girls from the Annapurna Children’s Home through donations of educational and recreational materials, along with financial assistance.
