DOlAKHA: A 73-year-old man has gone missing after a landslide swept away an animal shed in Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-9 of Dolakha early Tuesday morning.
According to the Armed Police Force (APF) Nepal, the incident occurred at around 2:30 am near the dam site of the Sirping Khola Hydropower Project. “The landslide washed away the shed where Tasman Tamang had been staying. Tasman has been missing since the incident,” the APF Nepal said in a statement.
The landslide also damaged a house used by employees working at the dam site of the hydropower project of Synergy Energy.
APF Nepal DSP Shailendra Thapa said search for Tasman is underway. ” A search team, including personnel trained in disaster management, has been deployed from the Monsoon Disaster Response Base in Singati,” Thapa added.
