KATHMANDU: An elderly man died in a tiger attack in Chitwan on Friday.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the deceased has been identified as Padam Bahadur Rana Magar (68) of Gawai village in Khirahani Municipality-23 in eastern Chitwan.
Padam and two others from the village had gone to Kumrose Community Forest on Friday morning to collect fodder. While the two others returned to the village safely, Padam did not. A search team later found Padam’s body mauled by the big cat.
His body has been taken to Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem examination, according to police.
