KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that it was making needful efforts to ascertain the whereabouts of Bipin Joshi who has gone out of contact in Israel.
Speaking at a press meet organized at the ministry on Wednesday, Spokesperson and Joint Secretary Sewa Lamsal said that the Israeli government has been extending its support to locate Joshi.
“We have pasted details of his appearance at different hospitals in Israel to ascertain his whereabouts,” she added.
Lamsal also said that the foreign ministry was in regular touch with the Israeli government for the repatriation of bodies of 10 Nepali students.
“Two out of four Nepali students, who were receiving treatment in Israeli hospitals, have been discharged,” Lamsal added.
A group of 49 Nepali students of Sudurpashchim University found themselves trapped in the Hamas attack on Israel on Saturday. Ten of them lost their lives, and one is still out of contact, while 32 students have been rescued by the Israeli Defense Forces and relocated to Tel Aviv from the conflict zones. Some are receiving treatment at local hospitals.
