KATHMANDU: Power generated by four hydropower projects in Dordi corridor of Lamjung district has been added to the national grid.
According to Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), evacuation of power from Dordi corridor could be possible after the construction of a 132 kV double circuit transmission line.
“A combined 72.84 MW generated by three projects on Dordi River and one project on Chepekhola River in the Dordi corridor have been added to the national grid through the new transmission line,” Ramesh Poudel, chief of the Dordi Corridor Transmission Line Project, said.
Power generated by Dordikhola (27 MW), Upper Dordi-A (25 MW), Dordi-1 (12.1 MW), and Chepekhola Microhydel (8.83MW) was going to waste in the lack of transmission line.
