SURKHET: One person has died and 13 others were injured when a jeep met with an accident in Maurelekh in Ward-4 of Jagdulla Rural Municipality of Dolpa on Sunday afternoon.
According to police, the jeep heading to Jumla from Majhgaon in Jagdulla–4 went out of control and fell some 20–25 meters off the road.
A total of 14, including the driver, were on board the jeep. The deceased has been identified as Bishnu Thapa (38) of Tripurasundari Municipality–8 in Dolpa. The remaining 13 were injured in the incident.
Efforts are underway to rescue the injured and transport them to Jumla for treatment.
