KATHMANDU: The government has empowered the district courts to initiate and prosecute cases of cybercrime and banking offenses.
So far, cybercrime cases were being handled by the Kathmandu District Court, while banking offenses were being handled by the commerce bench of high courts.
The cabinet meeting held on Tuesday took a decision to this effect.
Likewise, the government has decided to form a team to re-erect Border Pillar No. 53 (1) along the Nepal-China border by holding talks with Chinese authorities.
The cabinet also permitted Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense Purna Bahadur Khadka to participate in the 8th NRNA Middle East Regional Conference in Oman as the Chief Guest.
Similarly, the government has decided to approve the Workplan Implementation Protocol for the execution of labor agreements with the UK. Likewise, it also decided to table an Act Made to Amend and Consolidate Customs Laws in parliament.
