KATHMANDU: Dan Bahadur Karki has been appointed as the Inspector General of Nepal Police.
A cabinet meeting held on Monday decided to appoint Karki to the position, according to Government Spokesperson and Minsiter for Communication and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel.
Karki is the senior-most Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Nepal Police and is currently deputed as the chief of Kathmandu Valley Police Office, Ranipokhari.
Karki will replace Chandra Kuber Khapung, who is retiring after completing 30 years of service with the Nepal Police on Wednesday.
