KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has increased the limit for depositing money into digital wallets operated by licensed payment service providers.
In a circular issued to payment service providers on Monday, the central bank said users deposit money into their wallets up to 30 times a day from October 7 to 18 during the Dashain festival and from October 31 to November 7 during the Tihar and Chhath festivals.
At present, users can deposit money into wallets for a maximum of 10 times a day.
The central bank temporarily raised the deposit limit, particularly targeting festivals like Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath.
