KATHMANDU: Krishna Bahadur Oli of Dailekh has returned from Russia seriously injured.
Oli, who has four bullet injuries on his body, was admitted to TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu on Thursday night. He is believed to have arrived in Nepal on Thursday itself.
A staff member of the Teaching Hospital says they don’t have any information about the person who admitted Oli to the hospital. “He came to the emergency ward at around midnight screaming ‘I have sustained bullet injuries, I need treatment immediately’,” the member said.
A doctor attending to Oli said he has three bullet injuries in his leg and one in his shoulder. The doctor said the bullets had already been retrieved from the body. “It seems that he came to Nepal after primary treatment in Russia. He seems to have got injured in the war with Ukraine,” he added. “He hasn’t spoken anything. He has been using sign language to communicate. He seems to be in a state of trauma.”
