Cyclist dead after being struck by bus in Sunsari Locals set the bus on fire after the accident.

ITAHARI: A cyclist died on the spot after being struck by a passenger bus near Shanti Chowk in Khnara, Itahari, on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Samjhana Yadav, according to the District Police Office, Sunsari.

The bus fled the scene following the incident. However, outraged locals intercepted it near the bridge of the Sunsari-Morang Irrigation Project and set the vehicle on fire. Passengers on the bus escaped as the flames engulfed the vehicle.

Police are investigating the incident.
