KATHMANDU: Nepali national cricket team fast bowler Karan KC is set to venture into the hospitality sector with the launch of a new resort in Mustang.
KC announced on social media on Wednesday that The Lete Gaun Resort, located in the scenic village of Lete along the Beni–Jomsom road in Mustang, will officially open to visitors within the next few days.
Sharing the news, KC said cricket had given him his identity, but his connection with the mountains was of a different kind. “During trekking trips, I often dreamt of owning a home nestled in the lap of the Himalayas. “Today, that dream is gradually becoming a reality,” KC wrote. “This is not just a house; it is the dream of a Nepali youth and a small contribution to Nepal’s tourism sector.”
Images shared by KC on social media show the resort set against a backdrop of dense pine forests. The property comprises a main building and several standalone cottages.
Mustang is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Nepal. It is famous for the popular Annapurna Circuit Trail, the long kingdom of the Upper Mustang, and the famous Muktinath temple, among others. Of late, Mustang is drawing a lot of self-driving tourists from neighboring India.
