KATHMANDU: Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Chairman Upendra Yadav has stated political instability is being seen in Koshi Province due to flaws in the constitutional provision for government formation.
Talking to reporters at Biratnagar Airport on Monday, Yadav criticized the inclusion of five articles for government formation in the constitution. “The activities we are witnessing in Koshi Province are only natural, as no single party holds a majority in the provincial assembly. Even coalitions with a two-thirds majority have failed, indicating a flaw in our system.” Yadav added, “We should reconsider these provisions.”
Yadav further asserted that the constitution should not contain provisions for government formation when there is no majority.
