KATHMANDU: The meeting of the Constitutional Council has ended inconclusively.
The appointment of the Chief Justice was the only agenda of the meeting held at Singha Durbar on Wednesday morning.
Although the meeting discussed the agenda, it failed to reach any conclusion, according to National Assembly Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, a member of the council.
It has been said that the next meeting of the council will take a decision on the appointment.
Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal chaired the meeting which saw the participation of Speaker Devraj Ghimire, National Assembly Chairperson Timilsina, Deputy Speaker Indira Rna, Leader of the main opposition party in the House of Representatives KP Sharma Oli and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Purna Bahadur Khadka.
