CoAS Sharma confers insignia on three generals

KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Prabhu Ram Sharma Friday conferred insignia on newly promoted Lieutenant General Sitaram Khadka.

At a program organized at the army headquarters in Kathmandu on Friday, CoAS Sharma also conferred insignias on newly promoted Major Generals Bijaya Thapa and Ash Bahadur Tamang.

The cabinet meeting held on November 2 took the decision to promote these three generals.

Issuing a statement, the army headquarters said Lieutenant General Khadka will serve as the Chief of Staff of the army, while Major General Thapa will lead the Far-Western Division. Similarly, Major General Tamang will head the Nepal Army War College.
