CIAA books former customs officials on graft charge

KATHMANDU: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against Dan Bahadur KC, a former officer at the Rasuwa Customs Office, at the Special Court on Thursday.

In its chargest-sheet, the constitutional anti-graft body has stated that KC amassed disproportionate property amounting to Rs 21 million.

According to CIAA, KC was not able to disclose the source of Rs 21 million out of his total assets worth Rs 56.12 million.

In its charge-sheet, CIAA claimed that KC bought land plots and houses in the name of his wife Sushila Pandit.
