KATHMANDU: Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang has sent a congratulatory message to CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on his appointment as the prime minister of Nepal.
Wang Xin, Charge d’ Affaires at the Chinese Embassy in Kathmandu, Friday called on Prime Minister Dahal to deliver the message.
In his letter to Dahal, Li said that China and Nepal have always respected each other, treated each other as equals, and sincerely helped each other. He also expressed China’s willingness to extend continued support to Nepal in its socio-economic endeavors.
The Chinese premier also extended best wishes for the success of Dahal’s government.
“In recent years, China-Nepal relations have maintained a healthy and stable development, and practical cooperation in various fields has achieved fruitful results, benefitting both countries and the region at large,” read the letter sent.
According to Xinhua news agency, Li said in his letter that he was ready to work with Prime Minister Dahal to push forward the strategic partnership of cooperation between the two countries featuring ever-lasting friendship for development and prosperity and bringing more benefits to the two peoples.
