KATHMANDU: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song paid a courtesy call on Minister for Home Affairs Ramesh Lekhak on Monday.
During the meeting, Minister Lekhak expressed confidence that the traditionally cordial relationship between Nepal and China would further expand and strengthen in the coming days. Stating that China has been an important development partner in Nepal’s infrastructure development and other sectors, Minister Lekhak thanked China for its support in infrastructure development and capacity building of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, Nepal.
Minister Lekhak reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to the One China policy and pledged not to allow any activities against neighboring countries in Nepali territory.
Likewise, Ambassador Song expressed confidence that the friendly and diplomatic relations between Nepal and China would strengthen further in the coming days. He expressed confidence that the relationship would deepen further in the coming year.
Ambassador Song also said the Chinese government would provide the necessary support to strengthen Nepal’s immigration administration.
