KATHMANDU: China has sent a second consignment of emergency humanitarian aid supplies for the Bhotekoshi flood victims.

According to Chinese news agency Xinhua, more emergency humanitarian aid supplies provided by the Chinese government departed from Shenzhen in Guangdong Province on Tuesday afternoon.

The supplies, including water purification kits, lighting and genetic testing equipment, as well as drones, are expected to arrive in Kathmandu on Tuesday evening.

The supplies were transported aboard a Y-20 transport aircraft of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. According to Xinhua, five experts from Shenzhen are also on the flight.

Earlier on Sunday, two Y-20 aircraft brought nearly 50 tons of Chinese emergency supplies to Kathmandu.
