CAAN tells airlines to sell tickets for chartered flights only after taking approval

KATHMANDU: Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has told airline companies to sell tickets for chartered flights only after taking its approval.

As per the CAAN Act and Regulations, airline companies must take its approval for take-off and landing.

Issuing a statement on Thursday, CAAN said its attention has been drawn toward the distribution of tickets by airline companies for chartered flights without taking its approval.

CAAN has also warned airline companies that it would take action as per the existing laws if tickets for chartered flights are sold without its approval.

There will be no scheduled flights of domestic airlines on election day i.e. November 20. Only chartered flights can be operated to domestic destinations on that day.
