Book on podcasting launched

KATHMANDU: CMR Nepal Journalism Academy has launched the Nepali translation of ‘Podcasting – A Short Introduction’ in Kathmandu on Friday.

Benjamin Seidel, Deputy Head of Mission and Head of Development Cooperation and Economics at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kathmandu, and author Brigitte Hagedorn jointly unveiled the book at a program on Friday,

According to a statement published by the academy, the book has been published in collaboration with Interlink Academy in Germany.

Speaking on the occasion, Hagedorn focused on the technologies used in podcast production, making podcasts reliable and empathetic, and strategies for marketing podcasts.

Likewise, Seidel highlighted the crucial role of journalism in the development of democracy and added that the importance of journalism and journalists has increased even more in the era of misinformation.

On the occasion, Ujjwal Acharya, the director of the academy, said the institution has been providing high-quality journalism training in collaboration with Germany’s Interlink Academy. He added that the academy has trained 146 journalists since 2023.
