KATHMANDU: CPN (Unified Socialist) has nominated Ghanashyam Bhusal for the position of party general secretary.
A meeting of the party’s central secretariat held on Sunday made the decision.
The meeting also decided to nominate the incumbent general secretary Beduram Bhusal as the vice president.
Bhusal had left CPN-UML ahead of the election held in November last year after he was denied a ticket to contest the election in his preferred constituency. Bhusal had contested the election as an independent candidate.
However, he was defeated despite the backing of Nepali Congress and CPN (Maoist Center), among other parties.
