KATHMANDU: The death toll from the floods in the Bhotekoshi River system has risen to 359 as of 5 pm, according to the latest update released by the Nepal Police.
Rescue workers have recovered 132 bodies from Chitwan, 82 from Nawalparasi East, 33 from Dhading, 30 from Gorkha, 28 from Nuwakot, 22 from Tanahun, 17 from Rasuwa and 15 from Nawalparasi West.
Similarly, 63 injured are receiving treatment in Kathmandu. According to Nepal Police, 31 are receiving treatment at TU Teaching Hospital, 22 at National Trauma Center, two each at Norvic Hospital, Bir Hospital, Manmohan Hospital, and one each at Grande Hospital, Manamaiju Shivam Hospital, Green City Hospital and Birendra Army Hospital.
