KATHMANDU: The Bhat-Bhateni Super Store outlet in New Road, Pokhara, resumed operation from Monday.
The store, which was destroyed in a fire during the September 2025 protests, has resumed service following reconstruction.
Pokhara Mayor Dhanraj Acharya attended the store’s inauguration on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, he said nothing could be done to save the store when it caught fire. He also praised Bhat-Bhateni Group founder Min Bahadur Gurung for his resilience in rebuilding and restoring the outlet in such a short time.

As many as 21 Bhat-Bhateni outlets were vandalized and looted during the protests. Of them, stores at 12 locations—Naxal, Maharajgunj, Bouddha, Koteshwar, Chitwan, Birtamod, Baluwatar, Pokhara, Hetauda, Damak, Biratnagar and Dharan—were destroyed by fire.
Stores in Bharatpur, Koteshwar and Maharajgunj have already resumed operations after necessary repairs and reconstruction.
