Bara accident claims three lives

KATHMANDU: Three individuals died, and 27 others were injured when a passenger bus collided head-on with a truck in Bara district in the wee hours of Wednesday.

According to the District Police Office, Bara, the bus, heading to Kathmandu from Kakarbhitta, collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction on the East-West Highway near Amlekhgunj at around 2 am.

The deceased have been identified as truck driver Purna Gurung (28) of Tanahun, bus driver Hari Shamsher Suyal (40) of Hetauda, and an unidentified man in his 30s.

All three succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital.
