Arrest warrant issued for singer Ravi Oad

KATHMANDU: Kanchanpur District Court has issued an arrest warrant for Nepal Idol Season-2 winner Ravi Oad.

The district court issued the warrant after his wife registered a case of marital rape against the singer, according to police.

Ravi’s wife had filed the case at the Area Police Office, Jhalari, in Kanchanpur three days ago. He is a permanent resident of Gulariya in Krishnapur Municipality.

“We have come to know that Ravi is in Kathmandu. We have already requested the District Police Range, Kathmandu, for necessary coordination,” SP Chakra Raj Joshi, the chief of District Police Office, Kanchanpur, said.
