APF personnel killed in road mishap

KATHMANDU: An Armed Police Force (AFP) personnel died after being hit by a school bus in Kirtipur on Sunday morning.

According to SP Dinesh Raj Mainali of District Police Range, Kathmandu, a bus belonging to Modern Indian School hit a government-owned motorcycle with Bagmati AAA 2908 registration which APF personnel Subash Chandra Ratala was riding at around 9 am.

Ratala succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Bayodha Hospital, Balkhu, according to the police.

Police have taken the school bus and its driver under their control for further investigation.
