Another minister sacked in Gandaki province

KATHMANDU: Yet another minister has been sacked from the Gandaki Province Government.

It has been learned that Minister for Physical Infrastructure, Urban Development and Transport Management Kumar Khadka has been shown the doors for lack of cooperation to Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Singh Nepali Pokharel and Minister for Law, Communications and Province Assembly Affairs Bindu Kumar Thapa.

“The Chief Minister has already sent the letter to sack Minister Khadka to the Office of the Province Chief. The Province Chief has sacked the minister accordingly,” a source at the Office of the Chief Minister said.

Khadka was elected to the Gandaki Province Assembly in 2017 from the Kaski-2 (B) constituency as a candidate of the Nepali Congres.

Few days ago, the Gandaki Province Government had sacked Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Drinking Water Harisharan Acharya. He was removed from the province cabinet on the charge of campaigning against Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal – the common candidate of the ruling coalition in Gorkha-2.
