KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel held a meeting with Bhishma Raj Angdembe, parliamentary party leader of the main opposition Nepali Congress, on Monday morning.
According to Angdembe’s secretariat, the meeting held at the Office of the President lasted for about an hour. Various issues related to the current political situation and parliamentary affairs were discussed in the meeting, a member of the secretariat said.
During the meeting, President Paudel stressed the need for political stability and underscored the importance of enhancing the effectiveness of parliament in lawmaking.
He also emphasized the need for coordination and cooperation among all stakeholders in the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of people affected by floods and landslides.
