DHANGADHI: Police have arrested a man accused of killing Maya Lhuar (21) of Paancheshwar Rural Municipality-4 from Mahenndranagar.
Bharatram Koli of Shivanath-3 was nabbed from Manehdranagar, according to Sudurpashchim Provincial Police Office.
DIG Mohan Kumar Acharya, chief at the provincial police office, confirmed Koli’s arrest. Further details about the arrest have not come yet, he added.
Inspector Pushkar Pant of District Police office Kanchanpur said police arrested Koli from the market area. The 22-year-old is an Armed Police Force (APF) personnel.
“We will hand over Koli to District Police Office, Baitadi, for needful investigation,” Pant added.
Maya’s body was discovered with throat slit at Baitadi’s Shivanath Rural Municipality on Wednesday.
Stating that Maya and Koli were in contact with each other before the murder, police said the investigation into the case was underway.
