KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Ashok Raj Sigdel on Wednesday conferred rank insignia on promoted military officers at a special ceremony held at the Nepali Army Headquarters in Kathmandu.
According to a press release issued by the Directorate of Public Relations and Information of the Nepali Army, Sigdel conferred the insignia on Major General Purna Bahadur Khatri, who was promoted from the rank of Brigadier General effective October 8.
On the occasion, the army chief also conferred rank insignia on three Lieutenant Colonels who were promoted to the rank of Colonel.
The ceremony was attended by senior army officers, other military personnel and family members of the promoted officers.
