KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma left for China on Sunday to attend the China Forum on International Legal Cooperation 2026.
Supreme Court spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala said Sharma departed for Guangzhou, leading a Nepali delegation to the event organized by the China Law Society.
The delegation, led by Chief Justice Sharma, includes his spouse, Uma Sharma; Chief Registrar Bimal Poudel; and Deputy Registrar Rajendra Poudel.
Chief Justice Sharma is scheduled to return to Nepal on September 24.
This is Chief Justice Sharma’s first visit to China since assuming office on May 19.
Chief Justice Sharma visited India in the last week of July at the invitation of his Indian counterpart Surya Kant.
