KATHMANDU: Minister for Finance Swarnim Wagle held an official bilateral meeting with his Indian counterpart Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi on Thursday.
The meeting took place at around 5 p.m. at the Indian Ministry of Finance, according to the Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi.
Members of the government delegations from both countries attended the meeting.
The two ministers held comprehensive discussions on a wide range of issues related to development cooperation, with a particular focus on post-flood reconstruction, trade, investment, energy and connectivity.
They also discussed other areas of mutual interest aimed at strengthening and broadening the longstanding economic partnership between Nepal and India, the embassy said.
Wagle reached New Delhi on Thursday afternoon for a three-day official visit to India. He is scheduled to meet Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and other high-ranking Indian officials.
He is scheduled to return on Saturday.
