SURKHET: The Karnali Province Government has decided to provide Rs 20 million in assistance to the victims of the Bhoteoshi flood.
A meeting of the provincial cabinet on Tuesday decided to deposit the amount into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund on behalf of the Karnali Province Government.
The funds will be used for relief, rescue, rehabilitation, reconstruction of damaged infrastructure and disaster management in areas affected by the devastating flood.
The flood has caused extensive loss of lives and property in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading and other districts.
