KATHMANDU: The death toll from Bhotekoshi floods in Rasuwa has increased to 1,058.
According to the latest update from the Nepal Police, rescue workers have recovered bodies of 371 males, 232 females, 35 girl children and 30 boy children. Similarly, 390 mutilated bodies have also been recovered.
Of them, 58 bodies have been handed over to the immediate family members. Similarly, 684 bodies have been stored through temporary burial so that they can be retrieved and handed over to family members following DNA matching.
Similarly, 4,606 people have gone out of contact. They include 2,683 Nepalis and 583 foreigners.
Police say a total of 3,453 flood-affected people are at different holding centers in Nuwakot, Dhading, Rasuwa and Kathmandu.
