KATHMANDU: A passenger bus carrying people rescued after the Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa met with an accident at Danda in Nawalparasi East while they were returning home.
Of the 38 people on board, 32 were injured, according to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi East.
“Twenty-seven of the injured have returned home after treatment,” said DSP Anil Pandit of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi East. “Five people are undergoing treatment.”
Police say Naresh Tharu of Bardiya, Binod Nepali of Achham, Shyamu BK of Banke and Mamata Pariyar of Rukum East are receiving treatment at Madhyabindu Provincial Hospital in Nawalparasi East.
Similarly, Rita Gandharva of Surkhet is receiving treatment at the College of Medical Sciences Chitwan.
The bus was carrying flood victims from Kathmandu to Bardiya after their rescue from Rasuwa.
