Q&A session with PM to be postponed

KATHMANDU: The question and answer session with the Prime Minister Balendra Shah scheduled to be held during the meeting of the House of Representatives has been affected by the Bhotekoshi flooding.

Although no formal decision has been taken, the Q&A session is unlikely to happen on Wednesday as the Prime Minister is busy in discussions with various agencies on post-disaster search, rescue and relief efforts.

The House is scheduled to hold an urgent session, during which Minister for Home Affairs Sudhan Gurung will brief parliament on the flooding in Rasuwa.

Other possible agenda items have been removed from the proposed agenda.

Severe flooding originating from the Tibetan side has caused damage in several districts. Prime Minister Shah is currently engaged in discussions with various agencies on post-disaster search, rescue and relief efforts.
