KATHMANDU: The District Security Committee, Chitwan, has refuted news reports that the army has been deployed for the first National Convention of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).
In a statement on Sunday, the committee said reports circulated by some media outlets and journalists claiming that the army had been deployed for the national convention scheduled for June 21-23 were completely fabricated.
The committee also requested media persons and stakeholders not to disseminate baseless and misleading information and to rely only on information obtained from official sources.
