Two die as truck collides with motorcycle in Parbat

POKHARA: Two people died when a motorcycle and a truck collided in Parbat district on Wednesday afternoon.

The accident occurred when the truck heading toward Mustang from Pokhara collided with the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction near Armadi bend on the Pokhara-Baglung road in Kushma Municipality–2 at around 3:45 pm.

The deceased have been identified as the motorcycle driver, Hira Garbuja of Banaun in Jaljala-9, and pillion rider, Sunaj Bhandari (35) of Maldhunga in Kushma-1 of Parbat.

The two, who were critically injured in the accident, were pronounced dead upon arrival at the Provincial Hospital, Kushma, according to the hospital’s information officer Prakash Sharma.

Meanwhile, police have taken the truck driver, Manoj Thapa (35) of Bhimad-2, under control for necessary investigation.
