Five NAC Board Directors picked through open competition

KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation has selected five Board Directors of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) through open competition.

According to a notice published by the ministry, Dr Deepak Prasad Bastola from Kaski, Prabin Bhattarai from Chitwan, Maheshwar Bhakta Shrestha from Lalitpur, Rupa Lamichhane from Kathmandu, and Lilaraj Dhakal from Syangja have been appointed as Board Directors of the state-owned carrier.

The ministry has invited them to claim their appointment letter within seven days.

The ministry has said that the five were selected from 27 applicants on the basis of their educational qualification, experience, presentation of a commercial plan, and interview.

The NAC has a seven-member board, which also includes the managing director as member-secretary.
