10 arrested in Dharan for online betting via 1XBet

ITAHARI: Police have arrested 10 individuals from a café in Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City–13 of Sunsari for their alleged involvement in betting and facilitating online gambling through 1XBet.

Acting on a tip-off, a joint team deployed from the Koshi Province Police Office in Biratnagar and the Ward Police Office raided Mandala Café on Monday night.

According to police, those arrested have been identified as Heman Rai (46), Yogesh Limbu (27), Milan Limbu (29), Sushant Ghimire (31), Kumar Tamang (42), and Bibek Thapa (40) from Dharan–13; Sujit Sah (33) from Dharan–1; Ashok Limbu (41) from Dharan–16; Bhawani Dahal (35) from Dharan–15; and Prajwal Rai (31) from Dharan–17.

Police have seized 15 mobile phones of various brands from them.

The District Police Office, Sunsari, has said that further investigation is underway and necessary legal action is being taken against the accused on charges related to betting and gambling.
