KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki met top leaders of the three major political parties of the country at the Office of the President on Tuesday.
In the meeting called by President Ram Chandra Paudel, Prime Minister Kark is holding a discussion with Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN-UML Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, and Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
Although Karki has met the second-ranked leaders of these three parties, this is the first meeting with the top leaders since she assumed office on September 12.
This also marked the first time that these three leaders have met since the Gen Z protests of September 8 and 9, which ousted Oli, who was serving as the Prime Minister.
According to the President’s Secretariat, the PM and the three leaders are discussing the upcoming House of Representatives elections and other contemporary issues.
