ITAHARI: Police have arrested two inmates who had escaped during the Gen Z protests while in custody on drug-related charges.
Naresh Chaudhary (31) and Agradeep Chaudhary (36), both residents of Labipur in Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City–17, had fled from prison on September 9 (24 Bhadra) amid the Gen Z demonstrations.
They were in detention on the order of the Sussari District Court.
A police team from Biratnagar arrested the two on Saturday while they were hiding at their home.
Police said the two have been returned to the Jhumka Prison.
