KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sushila Karki has directed all Nepali ambassadors and chiefs of diplomatic missions to inform their respective host countries about the changes that have taken place in Nepal following the Gen Z movement.
During a virtual meeting with Nepali ambassadors and heads of missions from various countries on Wednesday, Prime Minister Karki also instructed the envoys to work in coordination with foreign governments and organisations, stating that their cooperation would be essential as the date for the general election has been announced.
She also urged them to promote Nepal as a destination in the international market, stating that tourism and other sectors that had slowed during the Gen Z movement have now returned to normal, according to foreign ministry spokesperson Lok Bahadur Chhetri.
Prime Minister Karki further instructed the missions to ensure prompt, efficient and effective service delivery to Nepali citizens abroad.
Spokesperson Chhetri added that the Prime Minister also asked Nepali ambassadors to disseminate news of the creation of a reconstruction fund aimed at rebuilding structures damaged during the GenZ movement.
