POKHARA: Police have arrested a man in Pokhara on charges of setting fire to the residence of the Chief Minister of Gandaki Province.
According to the District Police Office, Kaski, Sanyog Thapa (22), a permanent resident of Tilottama Municipality–4, Rupandehi and currently living at Rastrabank Chowk, Pokhara–7, has been arrested in connection with an arson attack at the Chief Minister’s residence on September 28.
DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, the information officer at Kaski police, said Thapa has been taken into custody for further investigation.
Police also say Thapa vandalised an ATM kiosk of NIMB Bank near the Nepal Rastra Bank office.
