Nepali Congress Central Party Office
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) has objected to the government’s decision to freeze the passports of former Prime Minister and UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, the then Home Minister, and three other officials.
Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, Krishna Prasad Paudel, Chief Secretary of the NC’s Party Central Office, drew the attention of the interim government not to encourage impunity or engage in retaliatory politics against political parties.
The government froze their passports on the recommendation of the judicial inquiry commission investigating the incidents of September 8 and 9 that left over 74 dead.
