ITAHARI: Police have arrested 12 inmates who escaped from Jhumka Prison in Sunsari on Tuesday.
According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, among those caught is Harka Bahadur Rai (38), who was serving a sentence in a homicide case. He was arrested in Anptar, Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City–5, by a joint team from the Nepal Army’s Kali Shakti Engineer Battalion and the Area Police Office, Dharan.
Similarly, Basanta Raj Joshi (31), also known as Nikhil, originally from Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City–7 in Kailali and currently residing in Dharan–2, was arrested by the Area Police Office in Dharan. He had been serving a sentence in a drug-related case.
