KATHMANDU: The closure of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu has been extended until further notice.
Issuing a notice on Wednesday, the airport management stated that the airport, which has been closed since 12 noon on Tuesday, will remain shut until further notice.
“Due to the ongoing prohibitory orders, curfew and the volatile situation within the Kathmandu Valley, as well as smoke observed around the airport, which affects flight safety, the airport will remain closed until further notice,” the notice issued on Wednesday says.
